   I have been using this product for 2 years in my pond. I put it in the water in the spring and again in the fall when the water temps are fluctuating between the "not safe to feed" and "safe to feed" zones.
   
   I love that I can look at it and know immediately whether or not it is safe to feed my fish their usual summer staple food.
   
   The only complaint I have is that I wish it would blink red when the water temperature is at 40 degrees or lower. As I will feed winter food until the water temp hits the 40's, having the red light flash when the water temp is at 50 degrees or lower lets me know its not safe to feed my koi the summer staple food but doesn't tell me if the water temp is safe for feeding a winter diet. Once the light starts flashing red consistently, I need to use a regular water thermometer to find out exactly how cold the water is before making a decision about what food - if any - I'll feed my fish. And when the water is that cold, its no fun having to plunge my hand into the water to fish out a thermometer and read it! (Posted on 11/10/11)
