   I just received the 1.5 gallon bowl in the mail today from amazon.com. Great price and fast shipping. I have 3 cats who live in a farmhouse garage and am trying this product to see if I can get the water to stop freezing. I had 3 other bowls out there and they are all frozen solid. So far this isn't freezing! Crossing my fingers that when I go back out in an hour or so the water is still unfrozen.
   
   My recommendation to K&H is to put a light or something so you know if the product is on or not. I plugged it in and filled it right away but I can only wait and see if the product is actually working since there is no on/off switch or light to show it is heating the water. Also the cord is not 5 1/2 feet by any means, at least not on the one I received.
   
   I will put up another review in a few days once I have had the product a little bit longer. (Posted on 12/16/10)
