   My Cocker loves this bed. She sleeps on it all the time! It really does keep her cool on hot summer nights. It is heavy to move once filled with water, so put it where you want it to stay. You don't have to refill it either, I 've owned this for a year so far and my dog scratches at the bed every night before she lays down. It is Very durable- she has tore up those fake sheepskin beds, but she has not put a scratch in the tough Cool Bed! (Posted on 7/2/10)

   For the last three years I rented places for the winter in Kauai and have been running into "pillow top" matresses which are too hot for me to sleep on. I know lots of way to make a matress warmer but I was stumped for weeks on how to make it cooler until I ran across an ad for the cool bed. BINGO! I have a medium under the sheet and under a towel (unless it is really hot) at the edge of the bed. I roll onto it as much as I want to cool down and sleep! I don't put much water in it so it is easier to move (and less likely to pop a cork) but I do get the air out so it does not gurgle. My partner is fine on hot matresses or I would get her one too. It has been great for me for the last three years and I will not be without it. (Posted on 4/24/10)

   My Pekingese, as most do, gets hot easily in the Texas summer. I got Cookie in October, and got used to her sleeping with me. When the season changed, I noticed that she started moving around a lot, then would jump down for the rest of the night. I realized that she was sleeping in the tile-on-concrete kitchen, to keep her underside cool. The Cool Bed III made all the difference. She has the medium size, so it's not hard to move from bed to ottoman for the day, and it encourages her to stay off the couch, since the ottoman is cooler. I use colored T-shirts for covers, which lets me change its look and keep the hair under control. Happy dog, happy me! (Posted on 1/13/10)

   My dog is a rescue...He has two issues... he is a northern mix (double coat) who would not lay on anything soft and apparently old leg injuries.... Unfortunately my home is slab on grade so there are plenty of cool places to lay on however even on carpeted areas I noticed that my new found companion would limp after laying in one place for a short period of time. Hating that he was not comfortable both hot and limping... I tried other beds with no success... then I found and purchased a cool bed III hoping for the ultimate solution. HUGE SUCCESS!!! I am happy to say that we are both very happy with the purchase! In fact I have two and contemplating a third. I have one in my home office where he can be near me and comfortable on all levels. No limping after laying for several hours! What a blessing! The fact that it stays cool is the reason he "stays put". This is the best product I have purchased for my new found friend and would recommend it to everyone!    I bought this for my dog with the intention of putting it outdoors on our sidewalk, so he could stay cool on hot days. Well, I ended up buying a Tempur-pedic bed that seems to radiate heat, which left the dog and I struggling to sleep at night. So my family joked that I should put the dog's cooling pad on top of my bed. I decided what the heck. We put the cooling pad on the bed and now we both sleep through the night. I was surprised that it worked on top of the soft surface, but it does stay really cool. The only downside is that it is heavy and awkward to move once it's filled and it sometimes becomes lumpy when moved. But eventually it works it way back to being flat. Thankfully this worked because the bed was a floor sample and can't be returned! (Posted on 8/13/09)

   Good quality cover. Holds water well. No leaks. Probably stays cool if kept on cool surface, such as tile floor. Cotton cover probably cuts down on cooling factor a little, but makes for a much more attractive bed. Beware, however. If your dog likes to circle 'round several times before lying down to get rid of "lumps and bumps" this bed probably won't work for you. My German Shepherd ended up shifting the inner core contents into a lumpy mess in her attempts to smooth out this already smooth bed. As others have said, the larger sizes will be too heavy to move once filled with water so go with the smallest size that works for your dog. I'm not sorry I purchased it; just sorry it didn't work for my finicky dog. (Posted on 7/10/09)

   I purchased a large Cool Bed III for my dog Maxx just before my vacation. I had planned to take it to the kennel in which he would be staying. However, I did not realize that it was too heavy to carry with the 8 gallons of water it took to fill it up. The store clerk told me when I purchased it that it was not returnable, but I took my chances that this bed would be perfect for him with his arthritis and body heat problems. Well, being I could not easily carry this be to the kennel I had a brainstorm. I am a menopausal woman who hasn't had a good night's sleep in 7 years due to night sweats. Guess what? I put that cool bed on my own bed and I indeed have been having less night sweats! It is very comfortable and the coolness is very refreshing to this old lady. Poor Maxx had to use a less cool bed, but Mamma is having sweet dreams. I wondered if your company has ever given thought to manufacturing a cool bed for menopausal women? If you do, let me be your spokesperson because I'm living proof that it works! (Posted on 7/9/09)

   I recently purchased one Cool Bed III for my 11 week old Labradoodle. It's a huge hit! He liked it so much I had to get a second for upstairs. He keeps cool and sleeps like a champ on it. I am amazed on well it works. Be careful though, I shopped around and some doggie boutiques had it priced in the upper 80s, I found it at PetSmart for 30. Stay cool and enjoy! (Posted on 6/29/09)

    i live in florida, in a very old house that does not have central air or heat. i have lots of fans, yet i was concerned for my new dog. i found this cooling pad and wow.....did it make a difference! he loves it!! so i went and bought two more! i even wish they made one for me!!
