   Here is a Tidbit: If the matt inside the cool bed III, gets twisted or out of place, all you have to do is: Drain the mattress-- ( If this is difficult: try sliding a rug under matt,( to protect any damage to matt), so that you may have control to pull matt out to a area to drain, This may take two people, on each corner of rug. After tthe matt has drained, leave cap off (place cap in safe place, where you will know where it is), let the inner matt air dry completely. Then take shop vac and plow mattress up just SLIGHTLY with air, you will then be able too see inside and use something like a( doll rod or broom handle ) and GENTLY, you will be able to work the matt into place. Now, You are ready to fill your cool bed III. Happy resting to your pet. (Posted on 4/4/12)

   my pup is a motorcycle rider and this fits the bill perfectly on those hot summer rides it kept her cool for more than eight hours of course we had potty breaks in that time but the mat stayed dry and cool she loves it and so do I (Posted on 10/19/11)

   I had bought other brand of cool beds in the past, and I must say that this cool bed 3 by K & H has been the best one out of all of them. Besides being durable, my dog immediately layed on it after I filled it up with water. He had stop moving around the apartment trying to find a cooler place to lay down.    I am an 11 year old husky. 65 pounds with a long double coat. I have sore shoulders and hips and used to pant all the time. My owner bought me a cool bed and I haven't spent a night without it for 2 years. I don't pant, and now I don't take joint supplements and I even play tag and hide and seek. No more limping. My friend came to visit and slept on the bed and says that he told his folks to get him a bed also. I even showed my vet the great results. (Posted on 7/7/11)

   I purchased this for my 13yo 65lb chow chow mix post surgery to repair open wounds on both her front elbows. It took about wk to get her adjusted (she prefers the cold wood floors)&now it's the only place she'll sleep (thank God,or all that $$$ spent on her sugery would've gone down the tubes!) This is a great much needed pet item. My cons: it is expensive & it's difficult to remove stains. Oh,if you've already purchased this some help:
   Note:If you move it around the inner core can frustratingly fold up on itself. I called cust.service when it was really bad & was told once its filled w water you shouldn't carry it on the corners/edges to move it from place to place or else the core collapses. Instead, fold it into 3 & grab1/2ft fr the ends.To get the core to flatten out again, you have to OVERFILL w water,massage until it works out & then follow instructions to expel air/water. *Reading the reviews,this tidbit should've been incl w the instructions.    We have a Samoyed who absolutely LOVES his Cool Bed III. We took him on vacation in the car on an11 hour road trip to South Carolina. He layed on his Cool Bed on the floor of the van all the way there and back home. He was comfortable, happy, and cool the entire trip and not a peep out of him. He now lays on his Cool Bed in the house during the day - winter or summer and loves the Cool Bed. We have since purchased two more -- he will now have one for the car, one for in the house, and we have an extra one for the puppy that is soon to arrive so he won't have to share.. It's great to be able to just wipe them down, they can be moved relatively easily (medium size) and take up a minimal amount of space. Very well padded and soft for a larger dog and a great investment for a large, furry friend! (Posted on 1/13/11)

   I have central air so my pets are comfortable in summer.I however am too hot when sleeping.I had bought 2 Chillow brand cooling pads & they both ended up with leaks.
   So far,this is the best solution for me.Love them!
   I do use K & H heating pads for my cats & dog in winter as the floor air is coller there. (Posted on 11/19/10)

   I had previously bought the Canine Cooler for my Labradoodle but it only lasted one summer before the seam split open and it started to leak. I replaced it with the Cool Bed III, which is made much stronger than the Canine Cooler and has lasted several years so far. I was at first hesitant about the price (of either of these beds) but it is SO worth it to have a comfy cool place that my dog loves to lay. We bought the medium size even though she's a big dog and her regular beds are larger. I didn't want the large bed because I thought it would be too heavy for me to move around, and the medium size keeps her cool even if her feet hang over a little bit. We keep it next to her regular pillow type bed, and she moves back and forth between the two when she needs to cool off. If you have a hot dog you will not regret purchasing this bed.     My Cocker loves this bed. She sleeps on it all the time! It really does keep her cool on hot summer nights. It is heavy to move once filled with water, so put it where you want it to stay. You don't have to refill it either, I 've owned this for a year so far and my dog scratches at the bed every night before she lays down. It is Very durable- she has tore up those fake sheepskin beds, but she has not put a scratch in the tough Cool Bed! (Posted on 7/2/10)
